Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Chessoft platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are registering on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Description of Service

Chessoft is a multi-tenant SaaS platform that enables chess academies, coaches, and clubs to create branded chess training websites. Tenants (organizations) subscribe to a plan and manage their own users, content, and settings.

3. Accounts

Tenant Accounts

A tenant account represents an organization. The tenant owner is responsible for all activity under their organization, including content uploaded by their staff and interactions by their end-users.

User Accounts

Users must provide accurate information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and must not share them.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

  • Plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
  • Payments are processed through iyzico. All prices are in Turkish Lira (TRY) unless otherwise stated.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of initial purchase.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to access other tenants' data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to scrape content without permission

6. Content Ownership

Tenants retain ownership of all content they upload (lessons, puzzles, courses, media). By uploading content, you grant Chessoft a limited license to host, serve, and cache it as necessary to operate the Service.

7. Platform Content

Platform-provided content (catalog puzzles, opening databases) is licensed for use within the platform only and may not be exported or redistributed.

8. Data Protection

We process data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Tenant data is isolated using schema-per-tenant database architecture.

9. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination, tenant data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion. You may request an export of your data before deletion.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chessoft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
